This past week Tastic honoured unsung heroines as they launched their heritage campaign. For the month of September the brand is planning on taking to Johannesburg, Limpopo(9 Sept), Durban and Cape Town to introduce the Tastic rice ATM where they will allow communities in need to come with empty containers and withdraw Tastic Rice for free as a way of giving back and showcasing the spirit of true generosity.
Johannesburg, 2 September 2021. In celebration of 60 years of Tastic rice and to recognise September as the month that marks our diverse and rich culture. Tastic inaugurated their heritage campaign dedicated to commemorating unsung heroines across all walks of life for the invaluable role that they play in society.
Tastic rice partnered with 4 iconic women to showcase little acts of kindness to South Africa and its people – the perfect partners. Noxolo Grootboom, Basetsana Kumalo in absentia, Dudu Khoza, PJ Powers and Rami Chuene confederated to call upon the nation to come together and give in abundance.

Sehloho continues to say “Giving back in a manner that brings people together comes naturally for Tastic rice, we have been an intrinsic part of our country’s heritage and celebratory moments. It is for this reason that we have officially embarked on a journey to partner with women led organizations across the country to place rice ATM’s that will supply affected areas for the month of September”
An honorary dinner took place in the evening to celebrate the central role that the invited women have played in the upliftment and the development of society in the triumph of what we call ubuntu. This beautiful celebration was attended by notable guests. Spotted was Melanie Bala, Real housewive of Durban Nonkanyiso LaConco Zuma, VS Luxury CEO Vika Shipalana, actress Maduvha Madima and many other phenomenal women.
The menu for this auspicious day was curated by female chef Beyond bread who curated a decadent Tastic inspired bill of fare. To end the spectacular red-carpet evening, guests were serenaded to the sounds of Gospel singer Brenda Mtambo, legendary Judith Sephuma and DJ Lamiez Holworthy.
