South Africa’s hip-hop scene just got a whole lot louder — and a whole lot bolder. Today, multi-award-winning rapper Nadia Nakai officially dropped the music video for her explosive single “Sipthipithi”, featuring none other than rap powerhouse Moozlie. Premiering exclusively on Channel O, this is a visual manifesto of freedom, fun, and fierce female unity in a genre where women are rewriting the rules.

The chemistry between Nadia and Moozlie is electric. Set against throbbing basslines and sharp lyricism, their verses bounce off each other with a confidence that feels like a rallying cry for a new generation of hip-hop fans.
This marks the second visual release from Nadia’s critically acclaimed sophomore album Braggacy, following the March drop of “Shots in LA” with Manu WorldStar. But while “Shots in LA” leaned into cinematic storytelling, “Sipthipithi” turns the volume all the way up, embracing a vibe that’s stylish, sexy, and thrillingly raw.
The significance of this release goes deeper than the beat. Historically, hip-hop has thrived on rivalries, often pitting women against each other. But Nadia and Moozlie, fresh off their joint feature on Rouge’s recent hit “Juicy” — are flipping that script entirely. Collaboration is the new competition, and solidarity is the power move.
In Nadia’s own words, “Where hip-hop has historically pitted women against each other, ‘Sipthipithi’ sends the message that there’s space for all of us — and we’re taking it; in heels, furs, and V12 engines.”
If “Sphithiphithi” feels like a moment, that’s because it is. It’s the sound of women in hip-hop tearing down walls, building their own lanes, and making it clear: the future is female, and it’s arriving at full throttle.

Catch the exclusive premiere of “Sipthipithi” today on Channel O, with further rollouts on Trace, MTV Base, and SABC. And brace yourself — this isn’t just a music video. It’s a movement in motion.
Keep Up With Nadia Nakai
