South African music heavyweight Prince Benza is entering a bold new era, and he’s doing so alongside the captivating voice of Londie London. The pair have teamed up for not one but two standout singles, “Ngiyabonga Nkosi” and “Ngizwile” ,a double release that signals both artistic growth and a fresh chapter in Benza’s celebrated career.
These singles mark Benza’s dive into 3 Step, a fast-rising genre reshaping South Africa’s soundscape. Known for his Bolobedu House (Bolohouse) roots, Benza admits the move was driven by a hunger for reinvention and exploration. “I realised I could do more with my talent, stepping outside of my comfort zone to collaborate across genres is what drove this project,” he shares.

“Ngiyabonga Nkosi” delivers a heartfelt message of gratitude. With Londie London’s soul-rich vocals, the track becomes an anthem of faith, resilience, and the celebration of life’s blessings. It’s a song that uplifts while striking an intimate chord with listeners. In contrast, “Ngizwile” carries a reflective tone, a track about self-awareness, healing, and emotional strength. Londie’s delivery effortlessly blends vulnerability with power, amplified by Benza’s infectious production. Together, the singles showcase the versatility of both artists, proving that collaboration across genres can create music that is both innovative and deeply relatable.
This double release also marks Prince Benza’s official signing with RosePearl Entertainment, a move that signals his continued rise in the industry. The label, known for its dedication to pushing African music forward, described Benza as a natural fit. “Our goal has always been to work with artists who push the culture forward. Prince Benza’s track record speaks for itself, and we believe he aligns with our commitment to musical excellence,” noted a RosePearl spokesperson.
With an impressive catalog that includes collaborations with Master KG, Makhadzi, Nomcebo Zikode, King Monada, Shebeshxt, LeeMckrazy, Rethabile Khumalo, David Guetta, and Akon, Prince Benza’s influence on African music is undeniable. From pioneering the Lekompo movement to hosting his annual one-man show in Thembisa, a major cultural highlight, Benza continues to cement his role as one of South Africa’s most innovative creators. Still, his vision remains borderless: “I don’t want to be confined to one genre — my goal is for my music to be appreciated locally and globally, regardless of category.”
