What’s On The Menu : Khaeda Serves A Soulful Re-release With “DREAMS”

This week, we’re warming things up with a soulful dish straight from the heart—KHAEDA’s re-release of Dreams, arriving on all digital platforms May 31st.

Originally shared on YouTube, this neo-soul ballad is now getting a second life and broader reach. “Dreams” feels like a memory from another lifetime—rooted in yearning, spiritual alignment, and the pursuit of a love that feels written in the stars.

“This song came to me like a vision,” KHAEDA shares. “It’s about longing for a love that reflects your higher self—a connection that feels divine, like it always existed.”

Q&A WITH KHAEDA

What was the spark that inspired “Dreams”?
“It came from a space of deep yearning—like I was dreaming of someone I hadn’t met, but knew spiritually. It wasn’t just about romance, but alignment. It came during a healing phase where I was reconnecting with my core self. It felt like a melody gifted from the spirit.”

Take us inside your process—writing, production, the overall vibe?
“It all started with emotion—I was humming melodies in this trance-like state. Writing felt like pouring from my subconscious, like a journal entry filled with longing, truth, and release. The production leaned into neo-soul—soft synths, raw vocals, and a lot of emotional weight. The whole vibe? Very much moonlit honesty.”

Any unexpected challenges or breakthroughs while creating it?
“Definitely. I had to sit with emotions I usually avoid. The biggest breakthrough? Realising the ‘you’ I was singing about wasn’t someone else—it was the version of me I was afraid to face. Once I embraced that, everything shifted. The song became a mirror.”

How does this track tie into what’s coming next?
“‘Dreams’ is my soft re-introduction. It’s the start of a new era—intentional and emotional. I’m working on a larger body of work that explores all of me: grief, sensuality, growth, solitude. This is my rebirth. And ‘Dreams’ is just the first page.”

Can we expect more soon or should we stay dreaming for now?
“Let’s just say the dream is closer to your playlist than you think. It’s dropping May 31st, but more is on the way—slowly, gently. This one’s for the seekers, the soft hearts, the deep feelers.”

With its soft yet emotive vocals, dreamy synths, and late-night introspection, “Dreams” signals the start of a new chapter for the artist—one defined by vulnerability, purpose, and rebirth.
