In a world that’s constantly on the move, where fast fashion reigns and originality often gets lost in the scroll, one brand is choosing to slow it all down — to create with intention, build with meaning, and move in rhythm with the people. That brand is “Just Like Sunday“.
Launched in 2024, Just Like Sunday is more than just a local apparel label — it’s a creative movement born from the dreams of a few and fueled by the spirit of many. Founded by Prinolan “Polan” Govender and later joined by fellow creatives Keegan “Keegz” Pillay and Sabelo “Sabs” Sibisi , the brand is the product of serendipity, friendship, and a shared hunger for creative freedom. Each founder brought their own story, their own failed experiments, their own sparks — and together, those sparks turned into fire.

There’s something poetic about the name “Just Like Sunday”. It doesn’t shout for attention. It lingers, like the last note of your favorite track or the warmth of sunlight through your bedroom window. Just Like Sunday is the embodiment of a mood — calm, confident, unhurried, and deeply intentional.
“For some, Sunday means rest. For others, it’s creativity, community, or catching up with yourself,” says Prinolan Polan Govender. “We wanted to capture that vibe and stitch it into every thread.”

From heavyweight, premium fabrics to relaxed silhouettes and story-led graphics, Just Like Sunday is curated for those who know that style doesn’t chase trends — it sets them. With unisex designs and a streetwear aesthetic that balances structure and softness, every drop feels deliberate, limited, and tailored to the individual who values substance just as much as style.
This is streetwear for the thinkers, the movers, the dreamers. The people who see fashion not just as an outfit, but a reflection of their mindset and culture.
A Brand That Lives Its Values
Just Like Sunday is committed to building a global community of creatives. Their purpose is rooted in giving back — uplifting others through partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships that reflect the brand’s deep connection to authenticity, storytelling, and community-driven purpose.
One of the brand’s most heartfelt collaborations began, not in a boardroom, but in the DMs.
After posting a reel asking, “What’s your dream?”, the brand received a reply from freestyle BMX rider Slim Jimmy. His message was simple but powerful: he wanted to be part of the brand. What followed was more than a conversation — it was a spark of mutual recognition, built on shared values, creative ambition, and a genuine commitment to community.

Jimmy wasn’t chasing clout. He was riding for something bigger — for purpose, for representation, for the kind of belief that can’t be bought. When he showed up to one of Just Like Sunday’s pop-ups, the connection became real. He wasn’t just a fan. He was a Dreamer.
The relationship evolved organically. The team kitted him out for his next event, Stayed In Touch, and eventually made it official. Slim Jimmy became Just Like Sunday’s first sponsored athlete — now riding in full gear from the “Dreamers Collection,” including a custom “Freedom” cap made just for him.
This wasn’t about branding. It was about belief — the kind that sees you before the world does, and walks (or rides) beside you while you chase your dream.
Just Like Sunday didn’t just find a brand ambassador. They found a kindred spirit on two wheels.
Keep Up With Just Like Sunday
