Kicking off the year on a high note, Mr JazziQ has released his much-anticipated single, ‘MAJOZI,’ accompanied by a visually captivating music video. This milestone not only showcases his signature sound but also marks his first venture into music video direction.
A dynamic collaboration, ‘MAJOZI’ unites an elite group of artists, featuring renowned hitmakers Vigro Deep, Mellow & Sleazy, Scotts Maphuma, and emerging talents Cowboii and Xduppy. Their collective energy injects a fresh and vibrant pulse into the amapiano scene.
Lyrically, the song encapsulates an atmosphere of unrestrained revelry. Scotts Maphuma opens with a striking line that sets the tone for a high-energy experience, portraying a world where the party is so irresistible that even the most unlikely attendees are ready to let loose. The imagery evokes the essence of celebration, ensuring the track will dominate dance floors and music charts alike.
Adding his unique touch, Cowboii amplifies the mood with lyrics that reinforce the electric ambiance. He encourages partygoers to embrace the moment, emphasizing the presence of JazziQ, Sleazy, and the entire crew, solidifying the track as an anthem of pure enjoyment.
Reflecting on the release, Mr JazziQ shares, “‘MAJOZI’ is my first offering for the year, and I’m excited to pair it with a music video, which is a personal milestone for me. Re shapa spaan chommie! The song was created late last year with my talented collaborators, and I remember the night vividly, we couldn’t stop vibing to the beat we had just crafted. Coincidentally, everyone in the studio was dressed in NIKE that night.”
When conceptualizing the video, Mr JazziQ sought to mirror the vibrant energy felt during the song’s creation. “The opportunity to direct the visuals was a game-changer for me. We aimed to bottle up the electricity we felt in the studio and translate it onto the screen, and we did just that,” he adds. “This is only the beginning; expect more directorial projects from me this year.”
With ‘MAJOZI,’ Mr JazziQ continues to push boundaries in the amapiano genre, proving his versatility both as a musician and visual storyteller. The single and official music video are now available for streaming on all platforms.
