South Africa’s Under-21 national team has officially secured a spot in the quarter-finals of the CAF tournament after an impressive run in the group stages, bringing pride to the nation and signaling a bright future for the country’s football development.
Led by coach Mohamed Lamin Kamara, the South African side showed tactical maturity and strong teamwork throughout their group matches. With key victories against Sierra Leone U-20, the young Bafana Bafana finished second in their group to clinch a quarter-final berth.

The tournament, which took place from 26 September to 5 October 2024, featured teams from across the COSAFA region. Amajita dominated the group stage, winning all three of their matches against Malawi, Comoros, and Lesotho, scoring a total of 16 goals without conceding any.
