A bold statement from Amapiano’s new school heavyweights.
Amapiano’s most dynamic collective — Amu Classic, Kappie, Malemon, and Mr Nation Thingz, have returned with a blazing new EP titled The State Capture, Case, a sonic statement that’s raw, confident, and unapologetically street.
This project marks a defining moment for the quartet, blending kwaito’s nostalgic grit with Amapiano’s infectious groove to deliver an unfiltered reflection of the streets, the clubs, and the culture that raised them.
Fronted by Malemon and Mr Nation Thingz, the EP’s vocal performance is charged with fearless delivery and township storytelling, an ode to the kasi lifestyle that shaped their sound. Behind the boards, Amu Classic and Kappie craft an unmistakable bass-driven sound that fuses rhythm, soul, and underground flair in signature fashion.
The result? A powerhouse fusion that cements the group’s role as leaders of Amapiano’s new era.

The State Capture, Case Closed calls on a dream lineup of producers including ShakaMan YKTV, Thuske SA, Kom Da Perc, and Shakes & Les, who collectively deliver a dynamic sound that’s both fierce and fluid.
Adding fire to the flame are guest appearances from Tumilemang and the ever-energetic Kammu Dee, whose standout feature on “Ufuna Uk’fela Kuphi” has taken the streets and streaming platforms by storm.
According to Songstats, “Ufuna Uk’fela Kuphi” currently boasts:
- 85.2K Spotify streams
- 17 playlists placements
- 1.41M playlist reach
- 43 chart entries across platforms
From the kasi corners to the biggest stages, this EP hits where it matters, in the heart, in the soul, and on the dance floor.
