South African powerhouse Busiswa returns with “We Need Each Other,” the second single from her highly anticipated EP Honey & Grace, set for release on 23 May 2025 via Paradise Sound System.
Following the deeply emotive lead single Grace, “We Need Each Other” is a pulsating call to unity. A dynamic feature with New York-based artist &friends, the track masterfully fuses Busiswa’s signature commanding vocal presence with spiritual Afro-house rhythms and layered choral textures, making it an anthem of both urgency and upliftment.
Renowned for delivering iconic anthems like My Power (featured on Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift) and Midnight Starring, Busiswa is embarking on a bold new chapter with Honey & Grace. This project reflects her deep commitment to authenticity, community, and sonic exploration.
“We Need Each Other is a reminder that our strength lies in unity, as artists, as people, and as a global community,” says Busiswa. “I wanted to create something that goes beyond the dance floor, something that speaks to the heart of what we all need right now: real connection.”
This latest offering also showcases the synergy between Busiswa and &friends, a project that has taken the world by storm with sold-out shows in New York, Miami, Marrakech, Madrid, London, and Tulum, alongside major festival performances at Coachella, CRSSD, SXM Festival, and Electric Castle. With over 50 million streams on Spotify and releases on renowned labels such as Tomorrowland Music, Armada, and Moblack, &friends has built a reputation for uniting global audiences through rhythm and emotion.
“We Need Each Other” builds excitement for Honey & Grace, a genre-defying EP that delves into themes of transformation, resilience, and feminine power. Recorded between Johannesburg and Berlin, the project is a fearless declaration of Busiswa’s creative evolution, defined by global collaboration and unapologetic self-expression.
Adding an evocative visual layer to the project is creative director and artist Money Badoo (aka godshutterspeed), whose avant-garde aesthetic deepens the conceptual world of Honey & Grace. Through a fusion of music, movement, and meaning, the project extends beyond sound to create a fully immersive artistic experience.
Nelo Mathenjwa, Label & Operations Manager at Paradise Worldwide, highlights the significance of the single:
“We Need Each Other is the connective tissue of this project. It embodies what Paradise Sound System stands for—bold, global storytelling and a profound love for the music that brings us together.”
Executive producer Sarah Jane Nicholson, Managing Director of Paradise Africa Distribution, continues to push the boundaries of African music’s global reach, solidifying Busiswa’s place at the forefront of an evolving sonic landscape.
As anticipation builds for Honey & Grace, “We Need Each Other” stands as a powerful reminder of music’s ability to bridge divides, inspire unity, and drive cultural movements forward.
