Amapiano just found its next symphonic wave, and it’s nothing short of groundbreaking. Red Bull South Africa has officially announced that Kelvin Momo will headline the next edition of Red Bull Symphonic, teaming up with conductor Adam Howard and the Egoli Symphonic Orchestra for a genre-defying performance at The Teatro, Montecasino, on 6 & 7 June 2025.
Known for his soulful and emotionally rich approach to Amapiano, Kelvin Momo is no stranger to pushing sonic boundaries. Often dubbed the “King of Private School Piano” , his involvement marks yet another bold chapter in Red Bull’s initiative to fuse classical orchestration with contemporary sounds. This time, the subtle depth and layered textures of Momo’s catalog will be reimagined through the powerful lens of symphonic instrumentation.
This announcement follows the viral success of last year’s South African debut featuring Kabza De Small and Ofentse Pitse, which sold out in just hours and required a second show. With that level of anticipation now shifting toward Momo, it’s safe to say these June dates are already hot property.
Conductor Adam Howard, a maestro known for genre-fluid compositions and innovative orchestral leadership, is expected to bring a distinct sonic direction to the show, ensuring Momo’s catalogue is translated with precision and grandeur. The team up with The Egoli Symphonic Orchestra hints at a layered live experience, spotlighting the nuance in Momo’s productions while introducing a whole new dynamic to Amapiano fans.
